Description

Jw2015_urbanforaging_6 Herbalist and forager Amber Westfall returns to share her passion about wild and weedy plants. Together you will discover the edible and medicinal properties of the many common weeds that grow in the region. We'll cover topics such as how to identify wild plants, their edible, medicinal, and other traditional uses, as well as proper harvesting and processing practices, methods of preparation, and ethical wildcrafting. Come out and meet the weeds!

Route

Windsor Park is just east of Riverdale Ave. along the north bank of the Rideau River. From Bank St., take Riverdale Ave to Windsor Ave. and turn right. The parking lot will be on the right at the end of Windsor Ave.   

We will meet in the parking lot, and venture out from there.
